"The greatest persecution of the Church does not come from external enemies, but is born of sin within the church"-Pope Benedict xvi

Liturgical abuses.Do we even notice?

Putting the Lord's precious body in one of these, is rather like inviting an important guest to your home, not bothering to change the sheets, and telling them to make their own tea of cheese and toast. They might be one of those easy going people who really don't mind being treated so badly, but that doesn't really excuse the behaviour does it?
In fact, "Sacred vessels for containing the body and blood of the Lord must be made in strict conformity with the norms of tradition and of the liturgical books......Reprobated, therefore, is any practice of using for the celebration of the Mass common vessels, or others lacking in quality, or devoid of all artistic merit or that are mere containers, as also other vessels made from glass, earthenware, clay, or other materials that break easily."
