Our Lady's Birthday Today!

Today is Our Lady's Birthday,according to the Church. I'd like to say I spent the day hand-baking and decorating a cake at home with my children. Truth is, like most things I almost forgot. Thankfully, a Somerfield finest chocolate cake made a great last minute stand-in. And let's face it, I need no excuse to eat cake. We shared it out after our Rosary this evening, and after singing Happy Birthday to Our Lady.
With hindsight, I wish I had bought another and dropped it off at our local homeless hostel.
